If you agree to work with me, as illustrator and artist, you agree to the following terms:

I calculate my prices based on an hourly rate of £26 or €30.

I am legally based in the UK as self-employed illustrator, registered as Studio Kakash. This will always be mentioned on my invoices. For expressive purposes I may operate under different names, which would appear on social media or portfolio platforms, and potentially on administrative documents but always alongside Studio Kakash.

If I make up a time estimate beforehand and require a deposit or down payment (often of 50%), the final price may still vary as more time and work is spent on the project, or sometimes less so. I will communicate with you, as my client, when it looks like we are about to extend my initial estimate so that we may discuss how to proceed.

My artwork is not to be used in or for AI prompts.

As per UK law, copyright belongs to the illustrator by default. If you wish to own the right to copy and use my art freely, you can purchase copyright and any original art if relevant.

The creative process is a free flowing one, based on mutual respect and communication. I will do my best to honour agreed timelines and deadlines, and the steps taken in between to reach a point of mutual satisfaction are mine to guide and determine.

The project is considered completed when a point of mutual satisfaction is reached in accordance to agreed timelines, and any final payments have been made. I am then free to use any art for portfolio purposes unless otherwise agreed (e.g. in case of confidentiality or before launch).

When possible and relevant, I would love to be mentioned as the creator of any work with my full name, Nina de Jonge, and potentially any active websites I am linked to.

With all that said — I look forward to creating with you! ✮⋆˙
